Voyageurs National Park

Located in northern Minnesota, Voyageurs National Park is Minnesota only national park. It includes over 215,000 acres of pristine woodlands and lakes. The majority of the park is accessible only by water, so join me as I canoe over a hundred miles to bring this natural wonder into focus.

Buffalo National River

America's very first national river, the Buffalo National River spans over 150 miles in northern Arkansas. As an artist-in-residence I was able to live at the park, canoeing much of the river, and hiking many of the wilderness trails.

Mammoth Cave National Park

In fall of 2003, I was awarded an artist-in-residence position at Mammoth Cave National Park, and lived there photographing for almost 3 months. The images and stories resulted in my first book, Mammoth Cave National Park: Reflections.

Fall From Acadia to Shenandoah

Motivated by Edwin Way Teale's series of books on the seasons, I decided to follow autumn from Acadia National Park in Maine, all the way to Shenandoah National Park in Virginia. The results were not quite what I expected, but then again that's what makes travel interesting.

Wild Ecuador

This expedition spans two incredible wildlife areas, the Galapagos National Park, and the Tandayapa Valley of Ecuador. The untamed beauty of both these areas is incredible in the diversity of species we encountered, and their comfort with human presence.
