Water - From Oceans to Streams
Much of my photography during the last couple years has focused on bodies of water. From the shores of Acadia National Park in Maine to the Buffalo National River in northern Arkansas, and the lakes of Voyageurs National Park in Minnesota, these diverse waters provide unique experiences, and unique challenges for me as a photographer. Water is one of the fundamental and most basic resources for living organisms, and it always surprises me how many different ways it can be photographed.

Voyageurs National Park - Winter
Located in the north woods of Minnesota, Voyageurs National Park was a great location to spend a month as an Artist-In-Residence during the fall of 2006. It was amazing to return during the winter of 2007 to experience the transformation of these open waters to a frozen wonderland. These are images from the trip, spanning the enormous lakes that make up Minnesota's only National Park on the U.S. Canada border.
